History
On March 5, 2009 Animal Resource Foundation was founded to provide a resource for rescues, shelters and pet owners.
Having been involved in animal rescue for a number of years, ARF founders Sandy Miller and Gretchen Chamberlain discovered that there are never enough resources (time, money, space, volunteers, etc.) to save as many animals as we would like. We decided to start a foundation that tackled animal rescue on a new front. Instead of rescuing animals and running into the same problems as all the other groups, we opted to work with rescues and shelters to help them achieve their goals. ARF Iowa does this by collecting donations necessary for animal care.
We are especially equipped to handle large donations as we work with a number of groups and can get things distributed very quickly. If you would like to make a donation of food, medicine or any other pet supply, please send us an email at info@ARFIowa.org.
